The Antigua Falcons took on the Saint Lucia Kings in their 4th home game on the hunt for their 1st win of the 2024 Men's CPL. Once again, Captain Chris Green was unlucky in the coin toss, and the Falcons were sent in to bat. This time, Justin Greaves joined Fakhar Zaman in the middle to open the batting. The opening pair posted 35 runs until Roston Chase got the breakthrough the Kings needed by taking the wicket of Fakhar Zaman (21 runs off 17 balls). Kofi James did not last very long, being bowled out by Pierre.
After 10 overs, it was 69/3. Not too bad a start, but not very ideal for the home team. The Falcons brought up 100 runs in 15 overs. Wasim (16 runs off 14) and Billings (10 runs off 8) were at the crease, timing their shots well, trying to build a steady partnership. The Falcons started the last over on 132/6, they eventually posted a total of 142/7 in their allotted 20 overs. Justin Greaves (36 runs off 26 balls), Fakhar Zaman (21 runs off 17 balls) and Imad Wasim (29 runs off 23) were top scorers for the Falcons, meanwhile, the pick of the bowlers was Noor Ahmad with figures of 3/18.
The Saint Lucia Kings successfully chased 202 in their first match so 143 would have been an ideal target for them. Darren Sammy was seen beaming from the dugout.

Charles and Du Plessis opened the batting for the Kings. At the end of the 10th over, the Kings were 83/2. Charles and Auguste were in the middle for the Kings. The Kings crossed the 100 mark at 13.2 overs with Charles and Aguste still at the crease 105/2. The pair put together a 50-run partnership off 41 balls. The Kings found themselves needing 5 more on the final ball of the 16th over and Tim Seifert dispatched the last delivery for 6. The Kings won by 7 wickets.
The Saint Lucia Kings are now 2 wins from 2 and are on top of the table with 4 points and are looking in good form for their home leg on the weekend. The Antigua Falcons sit at the bottom of the table with 5 defeats from 5 games and have one home game remaining against the dangerous TKR. The camp is still positive according to Justin Greaves and they are working on getting that first victory.
