Drifters remain undefeated in the National 501 league of Darts 2025. Match-day three of the league took place on Tuesday, 18th February 2025, at #36 New Street in Port of Spain, Trinidad. Drifters are in a great vein of form with 3 wins in 3, the only team to remain undefeated in the A division. Drifters took on newly promoted Scorpions, Drifters found themselves were 3-1 up early on, and the lead was extended to 7-2 after the singles round. Mention must be made of the great form of Hector Alzola of Scorpions, once again taking a big scalp, this time defeating Richard Williams with a 71 average. Drifters were able to see out an 8-2 victory and sit pretty at the top of the A division with 21 points.

Scott Mannette of Drifters took out the highest finish of the evening in spectacular fashion, 118 (triple 18, double 16, double 16). Jus For Fun Vikings now sit in second place with 19 points after defeating newly promoted Sea Wolves 9-1. The Vikings needed a reply after their match-day two defeat and started the contest off very well, leading 4-0 going into the singles round. Sea Wolves did spring a surprise as in-form David Flook of the Vikings lost the first single against Adi Mohammed in what was a great match and was caught live on the Trinidad and Tobago Darts Association Facebook group page. However, that was the only bright spark for Sea Wolves as the Vikings tidied up and cruised to victory. The shock of the evening came from the big clash between bitter rivals E-Z Lines and D.O.G.S. The match started fiery with D.O.G.S. leading 3-1. James Walklin of E-Z Lines started the singles round positively with a ruthless win on Joshua Balfour with averages of 79 and 88. Captain of D.O.G.S. Geddes Foncette won his singles to put his team 4-2 up.

E-Z Lines were able to make it 4-4 thanks to the individual brilliance of Adam Da Costa (Captain) and Karen Ramcharan. It was down to one remaining single to shift the momentum, between Raoul Edwards (D.O.G.S.) and Adam Hepburn (E-Z Lines). Hepburn won the first leg, needing one more win to put his team in the driving seat, but Edwards repaid the faith put in him by his captain, going on to win back-to-back legs to put his team 5-4 up going into the team game. D.O.G.S were the eventual winners 6-4. D.O.G.S. are third with 18 points, meanwhile E-Z Lines are 4th with 13 points.

In B Division action, Jus For Fun Snipers are in first place after a hard-fought 6-4 win over the experienced Bulldogs. The encounter was tight at the start with both teams deadlocked at 1-1, Snipers eventually pulled away, building a 5-1 lead knowing at that stage the worst thing that could happen was a draw. Marc Anton, Captain of Bulldogs, mounted a spirited fightback, winning his singles followed by his teammates Goutam Heeraman and Pamela Massiah winning three on the trot, putting them on course for a vital draw. However, the Snipers were able to hold on for victory.

Elsewhere, Pub House Pirates defeated Triple Vision 7-3 and sit in second. Top Shot are having an amazing start to the season, their best one yet, after defeating Random Squad 6-4. They round off the top three for now. The action is scheduled to resume on Tuesday, 25th February 2025, as Drifters are set to take on Jus For Fun Vikings, a tough game that they must win to ensure their title charge continues. E-Z Lines have a great chance to gain some ground as they face one of the newly promoted teams, Scorpions. Matches begin at 8:30 pm and all are welcome to join the fun and enjoy some great darts at #36 New Street, Port of Spain.
